Catherine was a unique mixture of fun, compassion, amazing intellect, naughty, laughing a lot, kind, non judgmental, supportive and in every way a brilliant friend for nearly 70 years. she achieved so much in her life. She was a wonderful mother to Rupert and Guy and partner to Edward - who she adored and missed very much when he died. She loved her daughters in law, Rachel and Chania and adored all her wonderful grandchildren. They will all miss her very much. I will miss our silly texts and our rants at the state of the country but always laughing also. She will leave a big hole in my life and I've lost one of the best friends I ever had. its extraordinary how about 5 of us kept in touch from school days to now. we had many reunions and a few holidays together - always made fun by Catherine. Her sense of humour is legendary. However I am glad she is at peace. She never complained once during the months of treatment. She is an example to us all. Brave soldier. I'll never forget her. Catherine was a beautiful person; intelligent, kind, sociable, witty, a great sense of humour and a friend in the best way. I have know her for 51 years; I consider her one of my best friends ever, and I will miss her. Thank you, Catherine, for being part of my life.
